For instance, your gaming NFT will work with one publisher, likely only in one game (have an NFT for Generic Football Game 2021? It'll be useless in 2022, I promise). It will mostly be exploited for the promise of what it could be and not for practical reasons. Also because we already build decentralized federated systems without decentralized consensus.
