Guns depreciate very slowly, and if high-quality or unusual, they often appreciate. Not really a net worth hit.

- pvarangot 5y agoI think when I sold my 1911 it was more expensive than when I bought it, but even though I didn't use it much I had spent like at least 5 or 6 guns just on ammo and I still sucked with the thing.
- rpmisms 5y ago1911s are wonderful, but definitely not for everyone. Polarizing grip angle.
- JasonFruit 5y agoI love it until it stovepipes again.
- rpmisms 5y agoAs a Beretta lover, I felt that in my soul. John Moses Browning, we're sorry for ignoring the hi-power.
- aerostable_slug 5y agoFYI, the new Springfield Hi-Power is very cool.
- rpmisms 5y agoThere's also a printable frame for it. Really nice to see one of the coolest old guns get revived.
- SV_BubbleTime 5y ago> we're sorry for ignoring the hi-power. Gun Jesus knows, and he forgives you.

- int_19h 5y agoI don't think it even needs to be high-quality or unusual, these days. A Mosin bolt-action rifle is not exactly rare, with 37 million made in total. It's also, with few exceptions (such as Finnish marksman variants) not exactly the finest gun in terms of build. 15 years ago, you could get one for $70. 5 years ago, they were going for $300 or so. These days, $600 would be a good find.
