I ended up following this process when I upgraded to 10 some years ago. It's worth mentioning that Windows will continually prompt me to link an account to my machine at sign in. It's only a single box to click through, and my boot up process has been streamlined in other ways that makes this a very minor annoyance, but it is worth pointing out.
