    Us data is pretty terrible all around. Idk if you can really make heads or tails of it

    You say not true but the article says not enough data: "The study finds no evidence of Omicron having lower severity than Delta, judged by either the proportion of people testing positive who report symptoms, or by the proportion of cases seeking hospital care after infection. However, hospitalisation data remains very limited at this time." Emphasis on that last sentence.

    The UK used a much higher percentage of AstraZeneca though (because it's produced there and was available first). Which is known to be less effective than Pfizer and Moderna against omikron. I'm not saying it's not dangerous, just that the situation won't necessarily be exactly the same for other EU countries or the US. Still, caution is very much warranted indeed.

      Last report is that AZ and Sputnik provide no protection against Omicron. A boosted Pfizer or Moderna is supposed to keep you out of ICU, but not keep you from catching or propagating it.

        There are a lot of "last report". Aparently vaccination helps and they want to sell more vaccines.
