Chinese tennis star recants sexual assault allegations against CCP vice-premier
- bellyfullofbac 5y agoSo... will she be trialled for slandering a high-ranking member of the ruling cabal? What's that, no? Why not, why does she enjoy that privilege? Why doesn't the punitive government want to punish her for issuing a "false" rape charge and "smearing" China's name in the international scene? Is it because he did rape her, this recantation is a lie, and they just want the focus off this topic as soon as possible?
- olliej 5y ago[edit: I didn't read the post as sarcasm, duurrrr] You realize that it is highly likely this is a coerced statement right? She’s been missing for weeks and now she recants her claims
- ameminator 5y agoWhat a win for justice! I'm so glad that we were able to clear the name of the innocent CCP Vice-Premier, who was so maliciously accused, and that the family of the tennis star was returned safely to their home.
- d1a2n 5y agoTo all the people saying that she's been threatened and that's why she's taking it back: uhhh, do you have any idea how many people would have to be involved? It would be impossible to keep it a secret, somebody would say something. Take off the tinfoil hats, guys.
- sequel_database 5y agoWhy did she lie? What will her punishment be?
- skj 5y agoShe didn't.
- a0-prw 5y agoShe never made an allegation of sexual assault. Her post was deliberately interpreted incorrectly to stoke anti China propaganda. The funny thing is that Western propaganda has become as predictable and crass as old style Chinese propaganda.
- PlanckMeasure80 5y agoDid you forget her first forced email included the claim that “allegations in [her original post] weren’t true”? Now the story is there were never any allegations…? Why did they censor her posts and block searches of “tennis”? Why did the government “disappear” her and write fake emails pretending to be her…? BTW, DeepL translates her original post to say he forced her to have sex with him…
