I doubt blockchain is a silver bullet. I really liked Kleppmann's work on local-first software / CRDTs. It seems a lot closer to something practically usable at least.

- blamestross 5y agoBlockchain tech just offuscates centralization, it doesn't provide decentralization.
- brightstep 5y agoIn terms used by the memo discussed by the article, blockchain are still susceptible to indirect and platform centralization.
