Previously, I reacted to the people who think Fauci is the devil by going "well, they're obviously and frighteningly nuts".
However, even if I don't think he's doing meaningful harm, I'm increasingly feeling like he's "just saying stuff".
Like, I heard from a friend that he explained how we shouldn't see the booster as an extra, but as the third in a three shot sequence.
Ok, fine, (yes I got mine) but it seems like pure spin that's encouraging the people who rant about endless boosters and Soviet style revisions to the party line.
I don't know what he should say, maybe just don't bother. There's no value added in trying to make suggestible people a little more or less fearful and poking people who are resistant to his message.
Dramatic leadership is not needed at this point.
I've been told by top Democratic politicians that the pandemic is not severe enough for telecommuting of "nonessential" office workers. So, don't tell us to be "prudent".
Also, to those who keep saying this is seasonal, it isn't yet. You can look at the charts of cases and see the sine wave, but it's not synced to a season, it's been cycling more quickly and less predictably. And even if it was appearing to be seasonal, it wouldn't prove anything because it's evolving rapidly. Each cycle is a different bug.
