- johnzim 5y agoThe implication of the tweet is that somehow the U.K. standards dropped. In fact the EU changed their standard for consumer messaging, and the U.K. hasn’t adopted a new scale yet. So no. Not deregulation. By the same measure, the U.K. could adopt a new scale where this bulb was listed TRIPLE F. It wouldn’t have made it any more or less efficient in the EU.
