Which is hilarious, because that certain political commentator is driven almost entirely by ‘feeling’, along with rhetorical tricks and debate strategies, like the Gish Gallop. My sense is he's much more interested in winning, or being perceived as winning (feeling) vs. actually being correct (facts).
- FridayoLeary 5y agoTrue. Which is why I didn't name him. I would like to add that he's far from unique in this regard, this is true of many commentators on both sides.
- markus_zhang 5y agoI think that's pretty much the same for everything political. You would rather want to win than being right and lose.
