Google is facing a major video conferencing issue
- dredmorbius 5y agoI can't help but think that if: 1. Google had standardised on one messaging / video service. 2. Had no requirement for all participants in video calls to have Google accounts. 3. Supported group video chats. It could have owned the videoconferencing space now dominated by Zoom. Given my lack of faith in Google this ... isn't entirely a bad thing. (My faith in Zoom isn't all that strong either, FWIW.) But talk about an absolutely gratuitous case of footgunning.
