I'm an ex-Christian (long story) and I really do like that verse. I live in a third-world country but perform freelance work for foreign firms, so I effectively earn months of some people's salary here in barely two weeks of easy work. I have a lot of leisure time but I hate it because I feel useless during most of it, so maybe the curse of having to work is really "for thy sake". Many people I know dream of having to never work again, but I can't just picture myself that way.
