There is a newer translation by Tom Holland which I own but have not read yet: https://www.amazon.ca/Histories-Penguin-Classics-Deluxe/dp/0143107542/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3HHHU99RWRJQ&keywords=the+histories+tom+holland&qid=1639845743&sprefix=The+histories+tom%2Cdigital-text%2C212&sr=8-2 https://www.amazon.ca/Histories-Penguin-Classics-Deluxe/dp/0...
- Jun8 5y agoI wholeheartedly recommend the Landmark Herodotus: https://www.amazon.ca/Landmark-Herodotus-Histories-Robert-Strassler/dp/1400031141/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=5KDMP77SHNJ1&keywords=histories+herodotus&qid=1639853011&sprefix=histories%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.ca/Landmark-Herodotus-Histories-Robert-St... The indices, maps, and other additional information was a great aid in understanding the text.
