I notice the same thing happens with me for upvotes. For me, it seems that this occurs if I have had the HN page open for a while, thereby it’s maybe a session timeout issue I suppose.
I have reached out to hn@ycombinator.com (mods), however, they’ve been mostly unresponsive.
- greenyoda 5y agoI've noticed the same thing with up/down votes: if a page has been open for too long, my new up/down votes go away when the page is reloaded. After reloading, they stick again. (I've never noticed this with flags.)
