Actually, I fall right into this category. I’m a mathematician who has just started to program for “real” this year (Python mostly, trying to learn C++, and Mathematica if you consider it a language). Actually, I find it hard to criticize anything about these languages, and most of the time I find my thinking aligns quite well with them. The main thing I wish for is not a feature in the language, but introductory books for an audience like myself.
