  Not having an opinion on everything feels great. probably because it’s much more “human” than constantly having to engage with everything all the time.

  I have a lot of opinions about things that don't directly involve me, as I'm sure most people do. I used to share most of those opinions online, and I'd bet I spent hours per week on it. What a waste. I've tried to dial back that time spent by reminding myself that a) I (often) don't have skin in this game and b) I (probably) don't have any new thoughts worth sharing. I think b is probably the more important consideration. For an example, there's the argument that "taxes are theft". I do have skin in the game but I am 100% certain I have no novel ideas or opinions to share on the subject, so I choose not to, and I think I'm happier for it.
