I have sympathy for open source authors who are often under paid and unappreciated, as has been in the news recently. Then you have big blowups like Log4j and actix-web. For the life of me, I don't understand how someone could dump on a programmer when they are getting the software for free. The whole idea is that if you don't like something, fix it yourself.
