Interesting how desperate the author is to make it sound like a bad thing that teachers are letting kids know that they're allowed to be themselves, no matter how much their parents bully their own kids into conformity/denial/suicide. The conservative parental strategy of totalitarian control over their children's lives under heavy censorship is deeply problematic. It is not uncommon that parents do everything in their power to make sure their kids don't find out LGBT exists, but when they can't, it must be demonized. Could you imagine being at school, where you know your parents can't track your internet activity, and you sneak in a quick Google about "is it ok to like both boys and girls?", and then the school snitches on you to your parents? For some kids, this is a grounding, a scolding, forced unwanted meetings with the preacher. For others, it's a spanking, a beating, a never ending spiral of homophobic abuse, or worse, being sent to a conversion therapy camp to be tortured. Articles like this are disgusting and disturbing. As if teachers really give a shit if your child is or isn't LGBT. The reason they aren't jumping up and down to tell parents is because it would put the child in very serious danger. If you're not happy about this, you shouldn't have spent the last 100 years murdering and memory-holing LGBT people.
