I was searching for bitcoin related videos on YouTube, and this live stream popped up with 30k+ people watching.
What immediately caught my eye was the video background, claiming to double your bitcoin or ethereum immediately if you send them to their address. This obviously raises a red flag.
In the description of the video there's a website - https://btcsaylor.io/ https://btcsaylor.io/ where you can instantly participate. The domain was registered 7 days ago!
Website is already flagged as a scam - https://scam-alert.io/scam/1Fh94pyZEmzRcxm2J36QF85xJmoW842A7m https://scam-alert.io/scam/1Fh94pyZEmzRcxm2J36QF85xJmoW842A7...
I've checked the receiving btc and eth adresses:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1Fh94pyZEmzRcxm2J36QF85xJmoW842A7m https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1Fh94pyZEmzRcxm2J36QF... - This address received 12BTC in a few hours
https://etherscan.io/address/0xb839b7A0ad8b1F9556020546a43305D2Bf436f8C https://etherscan.io/address/0xb839b7A0ad8b1F9556020546a4330... - the ethereum address already has 17ETH in just a few hours as well.
I can't believe I am witnessing a scam worth nearly a million dollars live on YouTube!
How long is this going to last before someone on YouTube suspends them?
Update: It seems that the same video was streamed live from other similar accounts as well.
This is not a live stream, but a prerecorded interview with Michael Saylor the CEO of Microstrategy - which the scammers are using to give credibility to the whole lie.

Update 2: Stumbled across live scam streams for Ethererum, Ripple and Cardano, featuring their CEOs.

- chrislas 5y agoThese have been going on for a while. I have been noticing these for at least a year, and I have seen a similar format with Bill Gates and Musk. I guess it's a whack-a-mole problem, and MicroStrategy has been attempting to report them as they can. YouTube should do better. I try and report the ones I come across.
- saturn5k 5y agoNot just on Youtube, I have been seeing a lot of ads on Facebook lately promoting scams like these, with the face of Elon Musk and with a Facebook page made to look like it's Tesla or SpaceX. I report them everytime as a scam, and they just keep popping up like mushrooms after the rain. What really makes me angry is that all these platforms are letting this happen, without any human intervention, and these can go on for days and days before they are shut down.
