  Editorial note on the title: 1. Yahoo the company is capitalized. 2. HN puts the source of a link after the title anyway [as in (yahoo.com)] 3. Thus when I skimmed the title I thought it said “Virtually every” Covid omicron case at NY college was in omicron cases was in a fully vaccinated yahoo — a “yahoo” here having the meaning of a “boorish, crass or rude person” https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/yahoo https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/yahoo From the tribe of “yahoos” in the novel Gulliver’s Travels (learn something new every day…).

  How many unvaccinated yahoos were there at this institution? I thought many colleges require their students to be vaccinated.

  In a population that’s 97% vaccinated, who else is there but vaccinated people to get it? 3% that already had Covid or are medically exempt? Even if they were 3x as likely to get Covid that would still mean 90% of the cases were vaccinated. Other than vaccinated people are able to catch it at an unknown rate, not much can be said about the article except I thought it might have been talking about yahoo employees due to the weird title.
