Hardly convincing. 13% of hospitalized patients had impairment. 50% of those were fine after 6 months.
These are also old people. It's pretty expected that a life event that brings them to death's door wont allow some of them to get totally back to normal.
6% after 6 months in the old and hospitalized population is a whole lot of Nothing.
- dev_tty01 5y agoApproximately 6 million people have been hospitalized with Covid in the US. I don't accept your horrible premise that old people don't count, but let's run with it for the moment. About 25% of hospitalized people are less than 65 years old. So, 6% of 1.5 million people comes to 90,000 non-old people with some form of longer term cognitive impairment. Is that a large enough number of non-old people to engender even a tiny bit of compassion?
