That is exactly the perspective I had when I made it. I had a very simple problem, some times, we need to scan, how to achieve with least possible effort. I spent less time implementing this (includes installing the raspberry pi os) than I've spent in the past trying to get windows on the wifes pc to recognize that old psc1600 (trash-picked, only using it as a scanner). Now we can share it over the network, plugged the laser-printer into the pi as well and shared that via cups. Lives improved.
