Does anybody know sort of an open source/DIY alternative to digital chessboards like DGT boards? Would love to use something like that for input, but real DGT boards are very expensive, unfortunately.
- johtso 5y agoAt one point I was planning to make something using a glass table with a camera underneath it and ArUco markers on the bottom of the chess pieces. The problem with trying to make something that uses electronics is the number of squares on the board making it quite a big fiddly task.
