4 Years After the FCC Repealed Net Neutrality, the Internet Is Better Than Ever
- jazzdev 5y ago"the internet is better and faster for basically everybody than it was when net neutrality ended—in fact, it's better and faster than at any point in the past." Were we wrong about net neutrality?
- elviejo 5y agoMhh the internet has been getting better than any point in the past /all the time/. So in order to prove that abolishing net neutrality was a good idea, they would need to show that it got better than the level it was going to improve anyway.

- guardiangod 5y agoJust because the internet is better (by whatever metric) than before, doesn't mean the current policy is detrimental to the growth. ie. Internet might have been even 'better' if Net Neutrality wasn't repealed. Certainly, with the fragmentation of streaming services, I'd hardly say the internet is better than 4 years ago.
- emptyparadise 5y agoThe internet is worse than ever, but mostly not because of that net neutrality repeal.
- ComputerFido 5y agoThe article they linked suggesting the internet was better was an interview with Ajit Pai: https://reason.com/2021/01/25/ajit-pai-on-what-the-fcc-has-done-right/ https://reason.com/2021/01/25/ajit-pai-on-what-the-fcc-has-d... If anything this shows that net neutrality wasn't the problem
