Ask HN: Best way to share images on HN?
Just wanting to share some images with folks on HN and wondering what the best platform might be to do so. Kinda lost with image sharing right now...

- verdverm 5y agoImages are generally not shared here. There are other platforms where images are a common medium. Maybe write an post about the image that has something interesting to say or comment on?
- pkdpic 5y agoI just meant a tech-oriented project that was image-heavy. Same question though, I'd just make a repo readme but github really doesn't seem geared towards loading a lot of medium / large sized images quickly.
- yesenadam 5y agoThis is a good question to which I've never known the answer. Often comes up when people are trying out some drawing app in ShowHN and want to show each other what they did. I tried searching for ".jpg" in comments in the last month. From a very quick glance so far, I saw a few mentions of imgur, and none of anything else. https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=pastMonth&page=0&prefix=false&query=.jpg&sort=byPopularity&type=comment https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=pastMonth&page=0&prefix=fa...
- pkdpic 5y agoAwesome, sincerely appreciate the confirmation there. It seems like an odd gap in the web ecosystem right now. If only imgur had a less tumblry UI... In a separate thread somebody not-facetiously suggested that I just make my own minimal image sharing app for personal use. Seems like a fun project. The thread didn't really take off but got some interesting input there too including to check out pixelfed which I am trying out for fun too. > https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29413374 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29413374
