- em-bee 5y agobikes in china were used because most people could not afford a car. now they can and bikes are almost gone from the streets. in the meantime in europe people are discovering bikes as a meaningful alternative. chinese cities are larger, and travel distances longer, so bikes are less convenient making a bike revival in china less likely
