Some dude spends countless hours creating a neat little project and gives it away for free and the best response you can come up with is "I don't like how you named one of your thousands of files"?
- nauticacom 5y agoThat's true, the only responses we can have to things are positive and affirming.
- halayli 5y agoIf you have nothing constructive or of a substance to say, you probably shouldn't respond.
- seanw444 5y agoI'm very sick of the "offensiveness" of everything all the time nowadays. It's a word used in many other contexts, not one of them being remotely offensive in nature. Gotta fill the boredom and lack of productivity with words to complain about.
- 0xdeadb00f 5y agoThat's my whole point though. The dramas with the master branch were stupid, advocating for the removal of slave.c in this project, or POSIX, is stupid.
- mikojan 5y agoMake sense. Fight filling the boredom and lack of productivity with words to complain about by filling the boredom and lack of productivity with complains about words to complain about.
- scoopertrooper 5y agoThis is somehow worse. Nothing about this post is political, why do you have to roll on in here with your culture war bullshit?
- 0xdeadb00f 5y agoI never said _I_ didn't like it. I genuinely don't care. I'm just being bitter because the master branch got all this hate online but stuff like this somehow gets a pass? And by "stuff like this" I don't even mean the foots project, I mean the POSIX spec. Again, I don't give a shit. I don't even care about the master thing - I rename my new repos to something other than "master". But why was the master branch such a big fucking deal, when there's no "slave" branch? Where's the consistency from the crowd that made the big deal about it in the first place?
