Burning synthetic methane is carbon neutral.
- OldManAndTheCpp 5y agoThat's cool, guess the full cycle carbon footprint is dependent on what you use to power the water + co2 -> methane process.
- evandwight 5y agoIf they use natural gas (methane) to make electricity to make synthetic methane, I will cry
- Isinlor 5y agoThey need to be able to do it on Mars, so the only options are solar or nuclear power.
- sudosysgen 5y agoI'm sure that was included in the plan. It's a perfect application for solar power.
