I highly doubt Dell or any of the other large system integrators will ever bring a truly "repairable" laptop to market, as like auto makers, they depend far too much on service / support revenue from their institutional customers to kill their golden goose by making their devices more easily user serviceable / repairable.
It's also utter nonsense for them to suggest that it would take them until 2030 to actually bring "some" of the ideas in their proof of concept to market, as if they truly wanted to produce such devices, they could have them out next year.
This is corporate greenwashing plain and simple.
Framework already has a far better product you can actually buy, and is a company built from the ground up around the principles of right to repair. If you truly care about right to repair, vote with your wallet and buy a Framebook. I'm certainly going to when they release their next generation of devices.
