  Keep in mind that this stuff is ancient, so yes, it looks a lot like things we have now and things we had 10 years ago, but this stuff is even older than that. This is pre-2000 vintage and quite fancy for its time. The late stage modernisation did bring it closer to the feel of what would eventually be the world of modern JavaScript today.
