The house does not need to survive for the humans in it to be safer then if they were in a sheet metal box with no basement.
- treis 5y agoA basement isn't tornado proof when the house above it is collapsing. It looks like ~90% of the workers survived which doesn't strike me as much different than those in homes that took a direct hit.
