Alibaba Dismisses Employee Who Accused Her Boss of Rape
- GuB-42 5y agoI think the employee made a mistake. The way I understand it, she accused her boss of rape, went to court, and her boss was charged for "forced indecency", which is a lesser crime. I don't know Chinese law, but generally, once someone have been convicted, it is the end, and you can't accuse someone again for the same facts. What it means is that officially, her boss is not a rapist. If the employee continues with her accusations of rape without bringing in new facts, then, they are officially false accusations, because she goes against what the court of law settled on. And her boss can probably sue her for libel. I don't know the full story, I am not a lawyer, and even less of a Chinese lawyer, but I think she either went too far, or got tricked by clever lawyers.
