That's just, like, your opinion man... > people who still do use complex solutions built from cat, head, cut, etc, and who know what they're doing, will typically either write a shell script or use awk No, I still use cat, head, cut etc., because it's easier to see at each step what is happening and incrementally add to that, because they're literally everywhere, because it's quick, and because I like it. Not for major projects, granted, but why would I need to write a python file for something that takes a single line of piped commands?
