It’s dead and has been for a decade
- selfhoster11 5y agoSoftware dies with its last user or curious historian. Open step is quite far from that.

- mpweiher 5y agoThat turns out not to be the case. It is in both active development and use.
- lproven 5y agoThere is slow but active development. Occasionally new releases appear. There is a new, active distro under development. I don't think this fits the definition of "dead". Not very lively, but not dead.
