ASK YC: Anyone in the TC50 demopit last year? What about DEMO?

Seems pretty pricey, just wondering what people's experience was. We weren't eligible for TC50 because we were public, but had considered the DemoPit just to soak in the experience. Also, anyone pay up the big bucks to demo at DEMO?
