Was just thinking about allowing the update. I'm using the same Macbook Air on Big Sur and the display is top notch! Really enjoying the machine.
I have it because we are going to build some software and want M1 native support. Looks like I will just leave it on Big Sur for a while yet.
- nyc111 5y agoSo you think this is related to the Operating system and not physical screen (software issue not hardware issue)?
- ddingus 5y agoI am not sure. Half tempted to do the photo diode thing mentioned here. If time permits and my old Tek scope will fire up, maybe. Software is my gut feel on this. Have seen talk about Big Sur being good, Monterey not so good on the same hardware. What I have right now seems good. Maybe I am not affected. But, I can hold off on Monterey and see what comes.
