This hits the nail on the head. Most younger devs do not even have a clue of how senior devs are to be evaluated. This is why there is such a huge reliance on Leetcode-style interviews: it's much easier to evaluate someone on that basis, and it's also why most places will outright tell you that your leveling at the company will be contingent on your interview performance. This means that your skills that can't be displayed in an interview are of zero use insofar as getting paid what you are worth is concerned. As Leetcoding is the only thing that's going to get you that, you have the current cottage industry of interview prep companies. The same developers who are blithely rejecting tons of experience in seniors will find themselves in the same spot a decade from now. Poetic justice at its finest, but alas there are no victors here.
