Perhaps you could achieve the best of both worlds by checking node_modules into a git submodule
- saghm 5y agoI don't disagree with the general idea, but in practice, using git submodules always ends up feeling like I'm in the worst of most worlds
- DaiPlusPlus 5y agoSubtrees, instead of submodules, are meant to be super-cool - and I'd love to try them, but I'm still far too wedded to existing git tooling (namely GitKraken) where there's still no support for subtrees.
