The headline is missing a key phrase from the first paragraph: "if they use them to communicate with clients or colleagues." That issues is easily solved by getting a separate work phone, which is something someone in the financial services industry who regularly communicates with clients can easily do. This is really a nothingburger.

- actually_a_dog 5y agoAgain, anyone “in the financial services industry who regularly communicates with clients [using their phone],” is not going to have an issue with this. We’re not talking about bank tellers here.
- salawat 5y agoIf the company does not supply a personal line for business purposes, then those communiques are off limits. Tired of bloody corpo encroachment.
- noodlesUK 5y agoYeah, but credit suisse is in a position to bankroll a (hopefully locked down) device for work purposes. They’re a huge business.
- GekkePrutser 5y agoWhat about communicating with colleagues in a private capacity? Eg colleagues that are also friends.
