In the 1920s, airplanes and cars already exist but were not widely used. The other civilization-changing inventions in the last 100 years were probably microprocessor and the internet in the 60s and 70s. Maybe some fringe tech today will be widely used in 2120. It's also possible some tech that hasn't been invented will overtake the world in just a few short years. Of course there were also two world wars in the last 100 years so who knows what will happen.
