- yosito 5y agoI had no idea otters could be aggressive. How often do otters attack people? Are they territorial?

(I know it’s Vox, it’s a bit hyperbolic but factual..) Otters are predators and wild animals even a house cat can fuck you up. Most animals tend to be extremely strong for their size and their teeth and claws are no joke. They are extremely hard to defend against especially in groups it will take all of your strength to contain one of them and it will still bite and scratch the shit out of you. And despite the fact that they most likely don’t have any intention to kill you all it takes is one deep bite in the neck or your inner thigh and you can easily bleed to death. Even without severe damage I would imagine these bites hurt at least as much as getting stabbed so even if you aren’t dying it sure feels that way.
