I want to like Rocket as being the slickest Rust web framework that leverages Rust's features to do some pretty handy stuff. Unfortunately, it seems to be run / maintained by one guy who's taking some time off right now and hasn't been able to get the new 0.5 version that moves to the stable rust build and async support officially released. I'd like to see a reasonable size professional team in charge of the project before trying to use it for anything bigger than a toy project.
- brundolf 5y agoIt needs corporate backing. It’s amazing what this one guy has done, and imo he’s proven that the model works, but I don’t think one person could ever make something like this fully production-grade and give it the ongoing maintenance attention that it deserves.
