Uh huh.
And cars DO cause serious environmental damage, and instead of regulating them in the only way that makes sense (that is: trying to get rid of them as much as possible), mankind builds more and more roads right through its living space, and clings to the fantasy of electrical cars somehow solving anything (tell that to people living near the places where all that Lithium for the batteries is mined).
Datacenters used up about 205 TWh (tera-watt-hours) in 2018 ~1% of the globally provided electricity. (https://energyinnovation.org/2020/03/17/how-much-energy-do-data-centers-really-use/ https://energyinnovation.org/2020/03/17/how-much-energy-do-d...). What's more, their energy consumption has reached a plateau in recent years, because while more data/compute is wrangled, devices got more efficient.
So forgive me if I don't give a damn about the energy required to make the internet go "brrrrrrrr", when at the same time, we still consider it normal, to burn 2litres of gasoline, to fetch 150g of butter from the corner store.
- foolzcrow 5y agoLol this is a totally fake Agenda 21 story put out by a global warming alarmist. Climate change is about planetary depopulation. The ultra rich dont want us anymore. It's about greed.
