Now that I have unsolvable "You have held broken packages" - issues (whatever it means), I want "Complete Reinstall" like in old-time Windows. Too much add-ons and customizations for wipeout and fresh start. Some day something that I truly want does not install and then I do it. But now I have just old laptop for programs that wont run on my desktop.
- pabs3 5y agoThe broken packages issue is probably solvable, ask the support channels for your distro about it and they can probably help you figure out the solution.
- timonoko 5y agoThose suggested "solutions" just cause more damage. For example Aptitude "fix" uninstalled 100 programs and then failed because they was no better replacements. Total destruction. Luckily I had recent copy of that disk.
