As an Xbox VIP and Halo veteran, I was too timid to play the game, fearing disappointment.
Played a single game, knew I made the right choice by not playing sooner.
Hopefully this will not follow the same fate of Halo 5 and MCC.
MCC took 5 years to be playable from the "Launch party," - Halo 5 is not considered Halo by anyone who had played at any previous title.
I wonder when the (Halo 2) mantra of "throw em in a room with mountain dew and doritos until they have a banger" stopped working.
How much is technical debt to blame? How much is bureaucratic red tape?
Is there a certain magnitude of complexity where AAA game development plateaus?
