There’s a federal ban on using lead ammunition to hunt migratory waterfowl (ducks and geese: https://www.fws.gov/birds/bird-enthusiasts/hunting/nontoxic.php https://www.fws.gov/birds/bird-enthusiasts/hunting/nontoxic.... ). I don’t believe there was ever any followup ban on lead for quail, pheasant, turkey, etc., though.
