People have been working like dogs with no end in sight, while the super rich become ultra rich and wealth accumulates in smaller and smaller enclaves. Why would you NOT be acting this way if there is no vision of the future held by your democratically elected politicians of how to make this stop. The answer is that people's lives are materially stagnant with no improvement in sight. Can I have my PhD now?
