Ask HN: How much will cloud data storage cost in a few years?

S3 currently costs $0.14 per GB down to $0.06 per GB after you've used 5,000 TB. What is the future direction of this cost? Is it going to keep falling as hard disks do, or is it going to bottom out because of energy/infrastructure costs? Might it even rise?
