This is an apples to oranges comparison.
Diplomats are specifically immune because they prevent war. They are certified by the nation sponsoring them.
Journalists are usually members of the country they are covering (particularly the ones who are jailed).
- trompetenaccoun 5y agoDiplomats prevent war apart from the cases where they helped start them of course. Some may argue that journalism is at least as important as diplomacy, if not more so.
