- bediger4000 5y agoGood to know that Saudis have an analog to FFA Cattle Judging: https://www.ffa.org/participate/cdes/dairy-cattle-evaluation-management/ https://www.ffa.org/participate/cdes/dairy-cattle-evaluation... A brief read of the FFA web page seems to show that cattle judging is an excellent way for youngsters to develop skills in a fun and wholesome setting. I hope that camel beauty contests can raise up Saudis the same way!
- h2odragon 5y agoA better parallel might be drawn to "Walking Horse" events, where the training for gait used to be despicably harsh in some circumstances. People use this shit safely, so it should be possible to apply it to livestock safely; but then there's rule parsing about how far one can go. They should add more events. Botox will deal with a wrinkle but you can't fake a ballet event. Poetry readings are probably not a great idea.
