When you learn a new discipline you will inevitably reach a learning plateau, where it’ll take a lot more work to get marginally better. Personally I really like touching different things but once I get to the plateau, I get bored and switch to something else. Eventually I’ll go back to that particular discipline, realize I’ve lost quite a bit of skill, reach the plateau again, and switch again.
